 The editing stage was crucial in shaping my final trailer, as it is where the raw footage was transformed into a coherent and engaging narrative. Using editing software, I organised my clips, selected the strongest shots, and arranged them into a sequence that would effectively build tension and maintain audience interest. This process allowed me to carefully control how much information was revealed, ensuring that the trailer remained intriguing without giving away too much of the plot.

A key focus during editing was pacing. At the beginning of the trailer, I used slower cuts and longer shots to establish the setting, introduce the character, and create a sense of normality. This helps the audience understand the context before the tension begins to build. As the trailer progresses, the pace gradually increases, with quicker cuts and more fragmented shots reflecting the rising intensity and urgency of the narrative. This shift in pacing is a common convention of thriller trailers, as it helps to create excitement and keep the audience engaged.
