For my film promotion package, social media plays a crucial role in reaching and engaging my target audience. Platforms such as Instagram, TikTok and X (Twitter) are commonly used in modern film marketing as they allow for direct interaction with audiences and encourage sharing.




My film's target audience is teenagers and young adults, so Instagram and TikTok would be the most effective platforms. Instagram would be used to post teaser images, character posters and behind-the-scenes content, while TikTok would focus on short teaser clips and trending audio to increase visibility.




The social media campaign would begin before the trailer release, using teaser posts to build anticipation. Hashtags related to the genre and themes of the film would be used to increase reach.

This strategy follows real media industry practices, where social media is used to create hype and establish a film's identity before release.
